What is your niche or expertise?
Scott’s primary focus is on operating companies and his general niche is in SBA 504 and SBA7A loans. He also works with a lot of real estate investors but takes a more cautious approach. He makes sure the properties and investments make sense for their portfolio and helping clients understand the risks. He also works with a lot of clients on construction loans. These loans can be very difficult, and clients really need someone to help them through that process. He has experience of banking through the housing crisis, 9/11, and now covid to help better prepare the clients and their expectations.
Scott has over 27 years of banking experience in retail and commercial banking in the Carolinas. His experience includes working with start-ups to seasoned operating companies utilizing SBA504 and 7a programs along with construction lending and treasury services. Prior to joining CFB in 2017, Scott was a Senior Vice President and Commerical Relationship Manager for six years with New Dominion Bank. Scott has recently been promoted to Commercial Team Leader for the Charlotte NC region, where he will support and oversee the commercial development.

Scott is a 1992 graduate of Radford University with a Bachelor’s degree in finance.
Personal Interests and Community Involvement
Scott and his wife are members of the South Mecklenburg Presbyterian Church. He has coached softball and basketball at MARA for seven years and Charlotte Soccer Academy for four years when his children were younger. He has been a member of the Chinese Chamber for past six years.
Scott enjoys spending quality time creating memories with his wife Julie and three daughters now that they are older.
